Affirmations for Abundance

One of the most challenging aspects of attracting abundance is re-training your mind to stay focused on abundance. Like many other people, you may find your mind traveling old pathways of frustration, anger, and anxiety on the subject of money.

Why is this such a bad thing? Because the more you focus on scarcity and struggle, the more of it you are going to attract! To start attracting abundance into your life, it’s crucial to stay focused on thoughts of abundance as often as possible. Affirmations are one good tool that can help you do this.

Affirmations can be a powerful tool for planting new suggestions in your subconscious mind, and replacing older, unproductive thoughts and beliefs that already reside there. For example, the affirmation, “Money flows easily to me” can gradually overwrite a belief that you always have to work hard to receive money. Since your beliefs provide a framework for your outer experiences, it’s wise to rewrite as many unproductive beliefs as you can.

However, remember that affirmations won’t work very well if you don’t use them correctly. Let’s look at an example. Consider the affirmation, “I am wealthy”. Will you become wealthy just by saying you are already wealthy? Most of the time, no. That’s because you already have a solid belief that you are not wealthy. So every time you say, “I am wealthy,” your subconscious mind says, “No I’m not” and pushes that suggestion away. Hence, nothing changes.

To get around this, you have to word affirmations in a way that your subconscious mind won’t resist. You have to find a way to make them more believable so your subconscious mind will say, “Yes, that’s true.” So, how can we rewrite the “I am wealthy” affirmation to make it more believable?

How about: “I like the idea of being wealthy” or “I like feeling wealthy.” Your subconscious mind can’t argue with these truths, but they still serve their purpose of planting new suggestions in your mind to keep your thoughts focused on abundance.

Another good workaround is to focus on a PROCESS with your affirmations, rather than an end result. For example, you could say, “I am becoming more abundant each day,” or “My abundance is growing more each day.” This is a good compromise between trying to convince your subconscious mind that you are already fully abundant, or feeling defeated because you know you are not.

However, be sure to keep this important point in mind: You must use abundance affirmations frequently to give them more opportunities to seep into your mind. Say them repeatedly, all day long. Say them out loud when possible, but you can also recite them mentally when you can’t say them out loud.

However, it’s important to put a lot of passion and feeling into them. Don’t make them sound flat and boring – that won’t be nearly as effective as saying them with power and conviction.

Here are some good abundance affirmations to get you started:

  • I am ready to allow more abundance into my life.
  • I love the thought of having plenty of money!
  • It would feel so freeing to be financially abundant.
  • My financial situation is improving daily.
